2010 Season brings huge changes to Trackside 1.
Whitney Motorsports, team owner in the Nationwide Series
over the past three seasons, is making the jump to the Sprint
Cup Series in 2010. All of the paperwork is being completed
and we expect to share our new team number with you before
the end of the week!
Whitney Motorsports was part owner of the #19, #49, #26, #92
and #96 over the past three seasons in the Nationwide Series.
Running 70 races across 3 seasons (2007, 2008 and 2009), the
team collected 3 top 10 finishes and more than $3.2 million
dollars in prize money.
The team will operate from Mooresville, NC. We recently
purchased 4 COT cars and we are quickly building the team and
preparing for the season opener at Daytona in February.
Terry Cook will be the Driver and the Team Operations Manager
based in Mooresville, NC. Terry, has raced in 314 NASCAR
Camping World Truck Series races, winning 6 times, finishing in
the top five 33 times and finishing in the top ten 112 times. Terry
has also grabbed the pole position 8 times in the series.
In the past two season, Terry has also raced in 27 NASCAR
Nationwide Series events.
We will use the Trackside 1 website to promote the race team,
share race results and provide feedback for our sponsor
partners.
