The Nationwide Series Insider Review
Dover - Camping World RV Sales 200 - Weekend Update - Race 29
Big News this week...Please welcome Morgan Shepherd and the Faith Motorsports #89 to
the Trackside 1 Sponsorship Family.  Trackside 1 will be building mini sponsorship paks
and fielding sponsorship inquiries for the team.  Congratulations on the 22nd place finish at
Dover!

Please feel free to shoot us a note.  Tell us what you like, what you would like to see, what
you would like us to improve.

Nationwide Series

Its hard to compete against the Cup Chase for excitement and even harder to compete
against college football; but while you were looking the other way there was a pretty exciting
Nationwide Race.

Sure, Kyle Busch (#18) dominated while leading 157 of the 207 laps, but there were actually
4 Nationwide Regulars in the top 10 and 6 in the top 12.  I know the Cup Regulars fill the
seats, but we are trying to bring sponsorship to the little guys, so we celebrate when the little
guys hold their own!

First, Morgan Shepherd and Faith Motorsports have partnered with Trackside 1.  Trackside 1
will offer mini sponsorship paks to help Shepherd raise the all important traveling money to
help the team get to the track each week.  It takes approximately $10,000 each week just to
get to the track.

Back to the race at Dover, Busch brought home $50,595 for the win and the purse was $1.1
million.  This was Busch's 8th win in the series this year, the 16th win for Gibbs Racing and
the 17th races of the season for Toyota.  How does that stack up against the other brands?
Chevy and Ford have 6 wins each and Dodge has not won a race this season.

Mike Bliss (#1) led 44 laps and finished 2nd.  Brad Keselowski (#88) was 3rd.  Scott
Wimmer (#29) was 4th.  Carl Edwards (#60) was 5th.

There were only 43 cars that attempted to qualify and all made the race.

The Nationwide Series is headed to Kansas Speedway next weekend for the Kansas Lottery
300 on September 27th.

There are 48 teams on the preliminary entry list.

Trackside 1 Teams

#84 Mike Harmon Racing Chevy driven by Mike Harmon
-- Harmon is still looking for
primary sponsorship and has taken a few lumps over the past few weeks.  The team has
worked hard to get the car back in racing shape and looks to change their fortune in Kansas
on September 27th.  Partial sponsorship has been secured, but the rear quarter panels
($8,000) and the hood ($5,000) are still available.

#89 Victory in Jesus Dodge driven by Morgan Shepherd -- Shepherd is coming off of an
impressive 22nd place finish in Dover.  The team accomplished this feat on just two sets of
tires!  Congratulations and thanks for the support of HotOilFuelSystems.com.

#92 Keselowski Automotive Dodge driven by Brian Keselowski -- Brian Keselowski is still
looking for primary sponsorship.  However, the urge to go racing is great.  Look for the #92
car to make its next attempt at Kansas Speedway this weekend.

Sprint Cup Series

NASCAR Sprint Cup Camping World 400 from Dover International Speedway in Dover, DE.
Jeff Gordon (#24) sat on the pole with Mark Martin (#8) on the outside of row 1.  The Chase
drivers were sprinkled throughout the top 33 with Tony Stewart (#20) bringing up the rear in
the 33rd spot.

There were 10 cautions for 345 laps and 15 lead changes among 9 drivers.

Roush racing  finished 1 - 2 - 3 with Greg Biffle (#16) getting the win.  Matt Kenseth (#17)
may have saved his Chase with a 2nd place finish and Carl Edwards (#99) was 3rd.  The
last 20 laps were some of the best racing of the season with Kenseth, Biffle, Edwards,
Martin and Jimmie Johnson (#48) battling for the top 5 spots.

It was Biffle's 14th career Cup win and 2nd win this year.  The win earned Biffle $218,450 out
of a $5.2 million purse.  Kenseth led 136 laps and seemed comfortable all day.  Carl
Edwards looked strong and led 85 laps.  Gordon was strong early and led 30 laps.  Of the
Chase contenders, Kyle Busch (#18) was hit hard with his second mechanical failure in two
weeks when the engine let go on lap 172.  He finished 43rd.  Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (#88) had a
hard day also as a lap 141 blown right-rear tire brings out the 4th caution of the day.  Jr.
finished 3 laps down in 24th position.

The rest of the top 5 were:  Martin 4th and Jimmie Johnson 5th.

After an exciting race #2 the Chase standings have a dramatic new look:

Craftsman Truck Series

Quik Liner 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The truck series made its 19th stop of the season in Las Vegas.  With 12 caution flags for 46
laps, the trucks spent 1/3 rd of the race under caution.  Keeping the theme alive, Mike
Skinner (#5) won by less than 4 feet on a green - white - checkered finish.  Erik Darnell (#99)
looked like he had the win when Skinner dove to the bottom line and inched past Darnell at
the stripe.

The big story of the night was Johnny Benson (#23) who entered the race with a big points
lead.  A lap 66 blown tire took Benson out of the race.  Benson holds on to the series points
lead by one point over Hornaday, Jr.  Crafton is 164 behind.  With just 5 races remaining, it
looks like it will be a battle between Benson and Hornaday, Jr.

Look for the trucks to take the track again at Talladega October 4th.

ARCA RE / MAX Series

The ARCA RE / MAX Series had the weekend off.

Look for the ARCA RE / MAX Series to take to a road course track in New Jersey on Sunday
September 28th.
